We live in a world where all too often our relationships are defined by status. Of course, this isn’t a new phenomenon. Even two thousand years ago, those who followed Jesus were tempted to define their value – and that of others – by the status they held.
This past Sunday’s text gave me the opportunity to reflect on status – and the roles in which we people of faith are called into. Here’s a hint: the roles aren’t the ones you would expect. 😊
