New Understandings of Old Concepts

Those in high church traditions observed All Saints Sunday on Monday, November 1. Many Progressive Protestants aren’t likely to attend services during the week – that’s why many observed All Saints Sunday this past Sunday (November 7).

One of the traditional readings assigned for All Saints Day (Revelation 21:1-6a) gave me an opportunity to reframe how we thing about the book of Revelation. The observance also provided an opportunity for us to think about the word “saint” in new ways as well.

Here’s the mesage I gave last Sunday. Hope it gets your mind and spirit thinking in new ways as well. And once again, the reflection is given in a different style and substance than it was delivered on Sunday morning.
